The Ark Encounter in northern Kentucky features a life-size replica of the biblical Noah’s Ark, filled with exhibits and more. The Ark Encounter sponsors rain delays at the Cincinnati Reds baseball stadium. Last week, during a rain delay, while the Ark Encounter logo was on display, a brilliant rainbow with a faint double rainbow was visible just beyond left field. Ken Ham, CEO of Ark Encounter, posted a picture on social media saying, quote, “Rainbows are always a reminder of God’s covenant.”

We are all aware that some have tried to co-opt the rainbow and make it a symbol for that which is not at all about God’s covenant. They can try to do that, but I’m very confident that God will ultimately make sure everyone knows the rainbow is His creation and symbol. Meanwhile we enjoy His beautiful and poignant reminders such as this one in Cincinnati.
