One of President Trump’s first actions in office was to sign an Executive Order that establishes there are only two sexes – male and female – based on immutable biological characteristics. The Order requires all federal policies and documents to follow this definition, rescinds prior guidance supporting gender identity recognition, and prohibits federally funded programs from promoting gender ideology. This important Order enabled Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty to prepare new legal actions in defense of female students and parental rights.
Trump’s Order, which specifies that intimate spaces are to be designated based on sex not identity, gives WILL new footing to continue fighting alongside parents to protect the safety and privacy of female students in Wisconsin. In just a few days the Trump administration radically changed the legal fight against gender ideology in schools.
