Here in Kentucky there are upright fossil trees that “grow” through many layers of coal. But this coal is supposed to have formed over millions of years. How could a tree remain upright and intact while coal slowly formed around it? It couldn’t!
Geology doesn’t provide evidence of slow processes. A much better explanation is that there was a global catastrophe that radically changed the world, completely shaping its geology. And that event was the global flood of Noah’s day. It provided the perfect conditions to form fossils, rock layers, and coal. When we start with the God’s Word, what we see in the world makes sense.
