Over the last seven months, 30 abortion facilities have closed across the country, including Planned Parenthood’s largest facility located in Houston, Texas. Although these numbers are encouraging, pro-life supporters have expressed concern that these closures fail to make a big difference in lowering abortion rates overall, since over fifty percent of abortions are carried out using the abortion pill. Unfortunately, the abortion pill is still widely distributed to women across the country, even when an abortion facility is unavailable.
In our state, Planned Parenthood’s website says it offers the abortion pill at all three of its abortion facilities. It goes on to say about both in-clinic abortions and abortion pills that, “Both are safe and effective.” Talk about intentionally misleading women, especially since a recent study shows the abortion pill is ten times more dangerous than previously reported.
