Pro-life advocates across Wisconsin are celebrating the permanent closure of Planned Parenthood in Delavan, an abortion-referring facility. Wisconsin still has twenty Planned Parenthood locations across the state, with abortions being performed at Madison, Milwaukee, and Sheboygan. Hundreds more such facilities are expected to close now that federal funding is slashed. Federal funding from grants and reimbursements provided about 40% of Planned Parenthood revenue.

Planned Parenthood preys on the vulnerability of women in crisis. When Planned Parenthood isn’t the first option available, these mothers have a higher chance of looking for and receiving support from pregnancy help centers that promote life rather than abortion. This Delavan closure is excellent news for both women and children in our state.
