Last week, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced they are pausing all abortion appointments beginning on October 1st. Since Medicaid funding contributed extensively to Planned Parenthood’s budget, leaders within the organization are blaming the pause on the One Big Beautiful Bill, which prohibits federal funds from being paid to clinics that provide abortions for a one-year period. The abortion giant has expressed its commitment to resuming these life-ending procedures as soon as possible, a move pro-life proponents hope is long delayed.
Pausing abortions at Planned Parenthood, even temporarily, is excellent news! Mothers who are considering abortion will now have an even greater opportunity to choose life for their child and receive real care and support from the life-affirming pregnancy help centers in our state.
