When it comes to evangelism, Barry McGuire doesn’t mince words. He says, “I say, all of us are witnesses. Some of us are witnesses for the prosecution.” That should stop us in our tracks. If we know the hope of the Gospel, of what Jesus has done for us, but keep silent, we’re being witnesses for the wrong side. And in doing so, we may even be testifying against the very truth we claim to believe. But there’s another way. Barry shares, “It’s how do we get as many people into heaven as we can in the amount of time we have left?” When we choose to open our mouths and point people to Christ through telling them the Good News of the Gospel, we become faithful witnesses for Him.
