For decades the Bible has had no place in the public school system even though the US Supreme Court ruled in 1952 that the Bible could be taught during the school day if the teaching sessions were held off school property, were privately funded, and had parental permission. An organization called LifeWise Academy is using this Supreme Court loophole to put the Bible back into our nation’s school day. The Academy’s curriculum and lesson plans provide a roadmap for Christians who want to impact the next generation with God’s Word.

Wisconsin, along with fifteen other states, has taken advantage of this decades old decision and has a Release Time law. Churches in every school district in our state should be encouraging members to volunteer to host and direct these off-campus events, using the LifeWise material or something else to introduce young people to the Bible and to Jesus.
