Every year on the fourth Thursday of November, Americans gather with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving. This day gives each of us the opportunity to express gratitude and thankfulness for the rich blessings that God has placed in our lives throughout the year. While many other countries celebrate a similar holiday, our US Thanksgiving is set apart due to its rich heritage. Rooted in the Christian tradition of thanksgiving in the form of prayer to God, this holiday has a deeply spiritual foundation.
As we, like you, gather with friends, family and other loved ones today, we hope you take time to honor God and give thanks to Him for the freedoms we enjoy in America and the blessings He bestows upon us. From all of us at Wisconsin Family Council, Happy Thanksgiving!
