A new study from Communio, produced in partnership with Harvard, found that individuals are more likely to remain dedicated to their faith and attend church if they had regular faith conversations with their parents during childhood. In addition, individuals whose fathers attended church were even more likely to maintain church attendance and experience belonging in their church community. This evidence shows the importance of both mothers and fathers setting a good example and actively engaging their children in conversations about their faith.

Generational faith begins with parents who first set an example by dedicating their own lives to God and His work, and second talk to their children about how God is working in their own lives. Parents should and do have the greatest impact on their children.
