Is our DNA filled with leftover junk, evidence of our evolutionary past? Well, for decades, many scientists would’ve said “yes, ninety-eight percent of DNA is ‘junk.’”
This was so strongly believed that many scientists didn’t even want to bother researching the so-called “junk” regions. But recently a team of researchers concluded “the days of ‘junk DNA’ are over,” and the old view has “fundamentally changed.” Well, there goes that supposed evidence for evolution!
Now, from a biblical worldview, we don’t expect most of our DNA to be useless junk—and it isn’t! DNA: it reflects his incredible design.
