In your cells is a special kind of DNA called mitochondrial DNA. Unlike regular, or nuclear DNA, this DNA only comes from mom.
Like nuclear DNA, this DNA mutates. Now, if evolution is true, there should be major differences between people and hundreds of mutations—but we don’t find that!
It gets even more interesting. Scientists can trace anyone’s mitochondrial DNA back to one of three major genetic groupings.
Three women being the mothers of us all might sound familiar to those who know their Bibles—Noah’s three daughters-in-law are the great-great-great . . . and so on . . . grandmothers of us all.
