Coming off Easter weekend, it’s appropriate we look at the American Bible Society’s newly released report, State of the Bible USA. The report positively found that when people engage deeply with the Bible, their lives are better, their relationships are better, and they flourish. Of concern, this year’s report shows fewer people in America are engaging with the Bible. Scripture engagement is not yet rising; it continues on a downward trajectory.

Obviously, a downward trajectory in Scripture Engagement is not good for America in just about any way we can think of. But this is a reversible trend. When the Bible is important and truly meaningful to dads and moms, it’s much more likely to be so to their children. And that’s how we reverse this negative trend—one family at a time.
