Here’s a partnership I hope to see repeated throughout the nation.  Shaun Roberts and Chance Jackson, both students at the University of Tulsa, were selected to stay, not in the dorm, but at Montereau, a senior community.  In return for free room and board they interact with the residents and perform concerts and events like a Veteran’s program.  They perform lots of jazz and classical music, but also toss in contemporary tunes.  Shuan and Chance jumped at the opportunity and a said the most significant part of their experience is befriending many of the residents.  Their fellow tenants benefit immensely.  One said, “They’re just like our grandkids.”  Shuan and Chance see what most of their contemporaries don’t, the value and worth of America’s elderly citizens.  They have a lot to give.
