Tomorrow is election day in Wisconsin. Polls are open from seven am until eight pm. There’s no such thing as an unimportant election. In addition to the presidential preference primary, all voters will have two binding referenda on their ballots, as well as many local offices such as school board, city council, town and village board, mayoral and more. Our Republic, to work right, requires the knowledgeable and responsible participation of its citizens. Visit myvote.wi.gov for helpful information.

Election Day is a great opportunity for families to build into their children an understanding of and an appreciation for our form of government. If you haven’t already voted, take the kids to the polls with you. Explain the process. Explain why it’s important to vote. Encourage good citizenship in the next generation by the example you set!
