This is a day that should be important to Christians who believe that God calls them to intercessory prayer on behalf of others, including the country where they live. Wisconsin Family Council urges Christians statewide to gather together sometime on Thursday to pray for—to offer heartfelt intercession on behalf of—our communities, state, and nation.
While many communities will be holding formal National Day of Prayer events, nothing that formal is required. Churches opening their doors for people to stop by and pray, families gathering with other families in homes, or even individual family units taking time to pray together are all powerful ways to observe this unique Day of Prayer.
