As America faces a mental health crisis and younger generations struggle at increased levels with suicide, anxiety, depression, and drugs, there is a path that offers hope. Young adults who want to establish a financially secure foundation should follow the Success Sequence says Institute for Family Studies. The sequence steps are get at least a high school education, work full-time, and marry before having children. 97% of Millennials who follow this pattern are not poor when they reach adulthood, and 90% reach the middle class or higher.

The IFS study found that in addition to achieving financial success, those who marry before having children not only have a lower risk of emotional distress but also have better general health and overall happiness. Not surprisingly, couples are better off when they follow God’s design for marriage and family and so are their children.
