Kamala Harris’s disastrous political career should be a lesson to Democrats, but instead, they’re doubling down on excuses. According to the left-wing narrative, Harris lost her recent race because of America’s “ingrained racism” or “endemic misogyny.” Yet, Harris was given every advantage, every media pass, and every identity-based boost the left could hand her. She didn’t fail because of her race or gender; she failed because she couldn’t do the most basic task of a politician—speak coherently and resonate with voters.
The reality is that Harris has been an appalling candidate since day one. Her style of “debate” was an awkward mix of soundbites and “refrigerator magnet poetry” that left even her supporters cringing. Her infamous “I’m speaking” line might have been the high-water mark of her rhetorical abilities, but it wore thin fast. Harris’s gaffes and disconnected statements left a trail of bewildered voters and media allies working overtime to smooth over her stumbles.
Even among leftist interviewers, Harris’s tone-deaf responses were a liability. When asked what she would have done differently from Biden, she responded, “there is not a thing that comes to mind.” Such a comment wasn’t just political suicide; it was an insult to voters who have faced real hardships under the current administration.
Instead of introspection, Democrats continue to insist that Harris’s downfall was America’s fault. This is a profound insult to every voter who dared to see through the identity politics charade. The American people can spot an inauthentic politician a mile away, and Harris was no exception. Her campaign didn’t fail because of prejudice; it failed because she was the least relatable and competent candidate in recent memory. Democrats might want to reconsider their strategy because voters aren’t falling for the “racism and sexism” smokescreen any longer
