Today, Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as America’s 47th president during the 60th Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C, with up to 220,000 guests attending. While Inauguration Day is typically filled with pomp and circumstance, Trump has also pledged to kick off his first day in office with a flood of executive orders targeting border security, oil and gas production, and more.
1 Timothy 2 instructs Christ followers to pray for “kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” This is a pivotal moment in our nation’s history. We encourage believers to pray that God grants the incoming administration wisdom and discernment in facing the challenges that lie ahead.
