A new report from the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty and the education reform group FiftyCAN found that only 41% of parents say they are very satisfied with their child’s school, but two-thirds of parents say they would make the same school choice for their kids again. The report also notes that only 30% of parents feel extremely confident that their children are being prepared for the workforce, and only 26% are extremely confident their child will be ready for college.

The report also found that most parents significantly underestimate what the state spends to educate a child, with the average district spending over $17,000 per student. Notably the report says most parents feel they have a choice about where they send their kids to school. However. parents need more transparency about school finances and academic achievement.
