Last week, on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, President Trump signed a “No Men in Women’s Sports” Executive Order to keep biological men out of women’s sports. Before signing the order, Trump said, quote, “Women’s sports will be only for women. The war on women’s sports is over.” The NCAA, which has long allowed men who falsely identify as women to compete in female sports, responded to the Order by saying it sets a “clear, national standard,” and will take the necessary steps to align its policies with the new guidelines.

This is an incredible victory for women and girls in sports all around the nation, including in Wisconsin. Last year, Governor Evers vetoed a bill to prevent biological males from playing on K-Twelve female sports teams. Thankfully, this Executive Order sets a new standard for our state and will protect countless female athletes.
