Fox News reports that President Trump signed an executive order Tuesday to expand access to in vitro fertilization, or IVF, and other fertility treatments through the reduction of out-of-pocket costs, which can amount to tens of thousands of dollars for some families. The Order states that within ninety days, the assistant to the president for domestic policy should submit a list of, quote, “policy recommendations on protecting IVF access and aggressively reducing out-of-pocket and health plan costs for IVF treatment.”
As our friends at LiveAction note, IVF ends human life at a higher rate than abortion. For the one million people who have been born because of IVF, one point seven million other babies have been frozen, destroyed, or donated for experimentation. While this executive order may be well-intentioned, the reality is that IVF is not pro-life or pro-family.
