There’s a popular video going around that claims your body is full of parts leftover from our animal ancestors, starting with a specific wrist muscle.
Some people don’t have this muscle, and it doesn’t appear to be necessary. But is it really an example of a leftover from evolution?
Not at all. At least one study suggests this muscle functions to strengthen the thumb. And there’s a lot of variety within the human body so it’s not surprising that some people lack this muscle.
Well, we shouldn’t just assume that because there’s no obvious function, there’s no function. Our bodies were designed by our Creator—and it shows!
