You know that thing the radical gender activists claim never happens? Boys, identifying as “girls” (they aren’t), competing in women’s sporting events, and stealing titles that rightfully belong to hard working young women? Well it happened again, and — unsurprisingly — in Portland, Oregon. Zachary Rose, who now goes by “Lia,” competed with the junior varsity boys back in May of 2023, where he placed 11th out of 11 competitors in the high jump.

Last month, however, sporting his new so-called gender identity, the boy dominated the high jump in Portland’s Interscholastic League varsity relays — beating out the second place female finisher by two inches. His victory comes only about two weeks after “Ada” Gallagher, another young male identifying as a female, blew out the girls’ 400 meter race at Portland’s Franklin High School by an astonishing 8 seconds ahead of second place. Oregon’s policy allowing trans athletes seems fairly one-sided. I saw no stories about young women joining the high school men.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon was quick to get in the middle of the situation. Within days, the Department of Education opened an investigation into Oregon’s compliance with Title IX.

I’m reminded, though, of my opening statement. Isn’t this the kind of thing the left decries as something that “never happens”? It seems when President Trump claimed during his signing ceremony for an executive order banning funding for schools who allow boys in women’s sports is more than likely correct. Thousands of victories have been stolen from young women at many thousands of competitions across America.

We’re often told this is an “80/20” issue in America, meaning the vast majority agreeing that boys have no place in women’s sports. But I’m left to ask — why have thousands of these stolen titles and trophies gone by rather quietly? Is the corporate news propaganda really that good at covering up the outrage? Or do we have a tough cultural battle before us still? I’m inclined to think it’s a little of both. My advice to us all: buckle up and prepare to speak the truth unapologetically.
