This is Ken Ham, a frequent speaker in churches and at conferences around the world.
Collagen is a tough protein found in the bones and skin of humans and many different animals. Oxygen and chemicals destroy collagen over time. Experiments have shown that collagen can’t last longer than 900,000 years under ideal burial conditions. And ideal conditions aren’t usually what you find in nature!
Why does this matter? Well, collagen has been found in fossils including a T. rex femur thought to be millions of years old. But it still had collagen in it and that can’t last even one million years!
These fossils aren’t old; they’re young just as we’d expect starting with God’s Word.
