This spring, California gave first-place awards to a male athlete in a girls’ state track championship. Trump responded in a Truth Social post, “A Biological Male competed in California Girls State Finals, WINNING BIG, despite the fact that they were warned by me not to do so.” You may recall this week we have been discussing the flipping of the script that Trump’s Education Department has done to states and colleges who infuse transgender ideology into Title IX-protected girls sports.
Trump continued in his post to remind California Gov. Gavin Newsom that large scale fines were headed their way. Newsom, who is term-limited out in 2026, is eyeing a longshot bid for the Democrat nomination for president in 2028. In the spirit of changing his opinions to sound more moderate, he admits that the issue of males playing in girls sports is unfair. He said: “It is an issue of fairness. It’s deeply unfair, I totally agree with you,” Newsom told Turning Point’s Charlie Kirk in an interview. However, Newsom has failed to do anything meaningful, allowing his administration to fight back against new federal education orders. The California school sports association did allow for a hasty rule change for the podium to be shared by the top girl competitors, but only after Trump objected.
And while California may be leading the way, is is far from alone. Democrats are allowing this trans invasion of girls’ sports in multiple blue states, and it is typically not disclosed or reported unless someone speaks out. Oregon allows any male to “access athletics and activities” simply by asserting that his gender identity is that of a girl. Only some of the competitors themselves know who the transgender athletes are, as this can be concealed from parents, spectators, and conservative media.
Harmeet Dhillon, the tough and savvy new head of the Civil Rights Division of Trump’s Department of Justice is on the case. Her office is quick to threaten and prepare lawsuits against states who continue to participate in this unfair and dangerous gender insanity.
