Most people think it takes millions of years to form fossils. But fossils actually form quickly. Did you know they’ve found a fossilized hat? That obviously didn’t take millions of years!
Actually, fossils must form quickly. If a plant or animal dies it will quickly decay unless it’s buried deep enough to keep scavengers and microbes from destroying it.
Around the world are billions of fossils. What could rapidly bury so many creatures? Well, it didn’t happen slowly over millions of years. A worldwide flood, as described in Genesis, would’ve catastrophically buried these billions of creatures in just a few months.
