Yesterday, I gave you a list of classic books that all Americans should read. The scholars who chose those books also made up a list of what they believe are the most harmful books written in the 19th and 20th Centuries. I’m not suggesting that you read these harmful books, but it is important for you to know how much damage a few bad books have done.

The Communist Manifesto, by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, is the book that started the evil Communist empire.

Quotations from Chairman Mao, by Mao Zedong is probably the second-most widely published book of all time (after the Bible), since Mao Zedong required every Chinese adult to own a copy. 65 million people died Mao’s Communist regime.

Mein Kampf, by Adolf Hitler set forth Hitler’s vision for racial holocaust and Nazi military expansion.

The Kinsey Report, by Alfred Kinsey. We now know that Kinsey was a fake because his conclusions about all males were mostly based on studies of prisoners and sexual experiments on young children.

Democracy and Education, by John Dewey, who was the biggest influence in changing public education from traditional academics to training children to accept secular humanism and socialism.

Das Kapital, by Karl Marx is a broadside attack on capitalism.

The Feminine Mystique, by Betty Friedan launched the feminist movement in the United States by labeling the home a “comfortable concentration camp.”

Beyond Good and Evil, by Friedrich Nietzsche is an attack on “conventional” morality and Christian principles.

General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money, by John Maynard Keynes is the book that encouraged modern liberals to work toward bigger and more expensive government.

Those are the books that have given us most of the problems we confront today.
