Where does the idea that the global flood of Noah’s day was just a local flood come from? Definitely not from the Bible! It’s a forced interpretation in an attempt to fit millions of years into the Bible.
But a local flood has many biblical problems. How were all the mountains covered with water? Why build an ark? The animals, birds, and even Noah and his family could’ve just moved out of the area. How could every land-dwelling thing be destroyed? And God said he’d never send another flood like it, but there’ve been hundreds of local floods since then.
The idea of a local flood? It simply does not match with the Bible’s history.
