A very dangerous precedent is being set right now in Canada. A man was euthanized, and his heart was harvested and transplanted. While we are certainly glad that the life of the recipient has been extended, we can’t look past the present danger. Euthanasia and assisted suicide have proven to be a very slippery slope around the world as so-called safeguards fall off. With a high demand for more organs and lax euthanasia laws, its not hard to see the issue here. There are already many reports of patients being pressured toward euthanasia by medical professionals. Killing one patient to save the life of another patient is hardly good medicine. In fact, its just plain evil.
