On Monday, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced they will resume abortions after nearly a month on pause. The abortion giant chose to stop all abortions earlier this month while they considered new federal legislation that cut off Medicaid funds from abortion providers. By removing its status as an “essential community provider,” the organization has reclassified itself into compliance with federal law and can therefore keep receiving funds, which calls into question their claims to care about the health of their patients over providing abortions.
We are saddened that Planned Parenthood will continue to provide abortions and take advantage of women at their most vulnerable. Their “pause” was really about figuring out how to get around the law. Planned Parenthood has clearly shown they’ll do just about anything to be able to keep performing abortions, which is tragically their biggest money-maker.
