Several months of relative inaction in prosecuting Leftists has left President Trump justifiably frustrated. He recently called out Attorney General Pam Bondi, accusing her of reviewing dozens of complaints yet achieving little so far. Trump pointed to the ongoing weaponization of government by his enemies—accusing them of indicting him five times “over nothing.”
Meanwhile, the silence from his top advisors—about holding Trump’s political enemies accountable—has been deafening. Make no mistake: the Left is already preparing to weaponize government even more aggressively the moment they regain power.
One of the chief villains behind this systematic abuse is Jack Smith—a Deep State apparatchik who has indicted Donald Trump more times than anyone. In Washington, D.C., he is insulated by a hostile legal culture and friendly juries. But the true epicenter of his criminal misdeeds lies in Miami, in the Southern District of Florida. That’s where Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was raided, and an unjustified indictment was filed in hopes of derailing his reelection bid. Federal Judge Aileen Cannon threw out that indictment—not because of politics, but because Jack Smith violated the U.S. Constitution. In doing so, she reversed the narrative: it was Smith who broke the law, not Trump, and it doesn’t matter whether Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland signed off. The Constitution is supreme.
Jack Smith conspired with others to indict Trump in violation of U.S. law and the Constitution. But he did it in Miami, not D.C.—in a jurisdiction where the courts and jury pool are less tainted by anti-Trump bias. Miami-Dade County even voted 55% for Trump in 2024, and the Cuban immigrant community there remains deeply pro-Trump.
This prosecution was performed as election interference, plain and simple. When Americans re-elected Trump, they soundly rejected that abuse. To restore accountability, former prosecutor Jack Smith should be hauled before a Miami grand jury—where he can’t count on the protections he enjoys in Washington. He should be made to answer for his unconstitutional conduct, unshielded by D.C.’s swamp.
Neither Smith nor others on his team were supposedly pardoned by President Biden’s autopen. It’s time for the serious resolve in our legal system: if prosecutors claim no one is above the law, then neither is Jack Smith or his former team.
