A new poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates shows voters want stronger safeguards around abortion drugs. Seven in ten say doctors should screen for coercion and abuse before prescribing them, and two-thirds believe abusers use these drugs to hide rape and trafficking. A majority oppose “shield laws” and mail-order pills without in-person care. Eight in ten say no one should be able to secretly give abortion drugs to women. Nine in ten want FDA labels to show real-world risks like bleeding and infection. And more than seven in ten believe drug companies have pressured the FDA to lower safety standards. Support is growing to end the dangerous distribution of chemical abortion.
