Creationists don’t deny climate change. But we do deny the claims of climate change alarmists because we have a different starting point.
Much of climate change data is based off of the ice cores. Many scientists believe these layers represent hundreds of thousands of years of climate history and that our climate has remained stable for twelve thousand years. In this view, a slight rise in temperature must be caused by humans and must be concerning.
But since we start with the Bible’s history, beginning in Genesis, we reject these long ages. And we recognize the significance of a catastrophic event in our history—but that’s for tomorrow.
