Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty released an analysis last week of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s 2024-2025 school report cards. Their researchers found that although DPI has reported that most public schools are meeting or exceeding expectations, these results come on the heels of DPI once again lowering the overall academic standards. Considering these findings, WILL recommends more educational options for families and more transparency in the reporting system.
Wisconsin families deserve honesty and transparency when it comes to the quality of their child’s education. Inflating student outcomes and lowering academic standards is a disservice to Wisconsin students. DPI should heed WILL’s advice and improve their reporting system to reflect the truth.
